The origin of the Fragrance Lamp goes back to 1898 when a French pharmacist created the Catalytic Combustion system to disinfect the air in the hospitals. The original models were made of crystal or glass and operated with the same method of purification that is used today: Diffusion by Catalyic Combustion.

The catalytic burner captures and destroys the molecules that carry odours. The mixing of air and the movement from convection ensures that odours are destroyed as well as airbourne microorganisms. Catalytic Fragrance Lamps actually purify the air before perfuming it.

In the 1920's designers were commissioned to create aesthetic bottles to be offered to private consumers. The lamps, which had previously cleansed and purified the air exclusively in an industrial setting, now came into the private home.

While air fresheners and room sprays usually mask odours, Catalytic Lamps actively purify, cleanse and perfume the air in a wide area. Common odours in the home produced by cooking, pets, tobacco and exercising can be safely and effectively removed by using Ashleigh & Burwood Catalytic Lamps.

CAN I PURCHASE PRODUCTS FROM OUTSIDE OF AUSTRALIA?

No unfortunately, not at the moment. We currently only deliver within Australia. Stay tuned for any future developments.


 

HOW WILL MY ORDERS COME PACKAGED?

All items will be carefully protected with wrapping and placed inside a post satchel or cardboard box to protect them during delivery. However Insurance is always recommended even with free delivery.

Please keep in mind that colour monitors display colours differently. Woodwick Australia endeavours to accurately display the colours of the products you see on the website. However, there may be slight variations from colours displayed on screen to real product that are beyond our control.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY ORDER HAS BEEN RECEIVED?

You will receive an order confirmation number at the conclusion of your order process as well as a confirmation email including order number and the total amount (AUD) to be charged.

HOW DO I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?

You can cancel or make changes to your order until it is submitted to our warehouse for dispatch. After this point we cannot change or cancel it. If you have placed an order and you wish to change or cancel it, please contact us immediately on 02 46259164.

Please DO NOT EMAIL us with your request, as it is quite possible that your email will not be opened prior to the order being submitted to the warehouse.

Unfortunately, we cannot change your order once it has been submitted for dispatch.

Shipping is currently only available within Australia, typical delivery times expected are:

We will try our best to dispatch within 3-5 working days, however, orders may take upto 15 days to be dispatched in certain cases.
